DADS GRIEVE TOO
WHAT IS DADS GRIEVE TOO?
Dads Grieve Too is a site dedicated to sharing a fathers experience following the loss of their child. We started this when our son Dexy Jude was stillborn in January 2018 at 36 weeks. Dexy's Dad wasn't given any resources following his death to help the grieveing process but found comfort across all social media platforms from others in a similar position.
We decided that if a platform was created with all the information that dads would find useful it would help them not feel isolated and forgotten about.

HOW CAN YOU GET INVOLVED?
Dads Grieve Too is about sharing your experiences and helping other dads open up and have a welcoming response. There are many ways that you can get involved but the main one is to share your story. You can either click on "contact us" on the menu bar and submit your story there or alternatively you can email us directly at "dadsgrievetoo@gmail.com". Your story will then be published, just remember to share photos and leave your Blog or Instagram username so people can connect with you.

OUR MISSION
What are our aims and goals? We want to improve the aftercare that the Dads receive. Most mental health support is directed at the mums or joint sessions but nothing individual. The dads are expected to support the family and they rarely get a chance to talk about how they are coping and how much it has affected them. Our goal is to offer dads a safe space where they can talk openly and have a chance for them to get the direct support that they deserve. Our "contact us" page is not just for submitting your stories but it is also a helpline, a chance to speak to people about how you are coping and to get everything off your chest that you have been bottling up.
